Trail Information:

The route leaves Dargala on a small paved road which descends slowly for 3km. Then it crosses a stream and continues east, before following the shape of the hillside to the south. It enters the town of Razhukaryan, where there is a small shop, and also a scenic stretch of footpath alongside the river. From here it climbs on a 4x4 track for 300 metres, gradually but surely, to a highpoint with views in both direction. Please be aware that the ZMT team have been advised there are unmarked minefields in this vicinity, to the immediate northwest. Please do not stray from the path. As on Stage 7, you may see local people walking in that area, but do not follow them. We cannot verify the safety of the land there. Follow the local guide, and stay on the trail.

The path follows animal tracks above the town on Omurawah, looking down over the river and the road, before it descends to cross the river onto the north side. Please note that this is a private footbridge, and is occasionally locked with a gate on either end. There is a second bridge, but it is also private. The local guide will make sure it is accessible. The stage ends in Rezan village, where there is a homestay, restaurant and shop.
